Grape: Blended from grapes from our vineyard
Alcohol: 13.5% vol
Refinement period: 20 months in barique followed by a final 3 months in steel
Aging Potential: 10 years +
Harvest: Manual harvest of selected bunches carried out in October.
Techniques: Destemming, fermentation and maceration for 7-8 days. Natural decantation after racking and decanted into barriques where it rests for 24 months.
Tasting notes:
Colour: Ruby red with orange reflections.
Perfume: Intense with notes of tobacco, spices with nuances of dog rose.
Palate: Powerful, tannic and full-bodied structure, spicy hints and good minerality all in balance between acidity and tannic structure. Aging of this wine softens the tannins and helps to reveal the dried fruit and herbaceous notes.
Pairing: Cured meats, aged cheeses and tasty red meats. Ideal for Piedmonts’ cuisine.
