Local activities

The Bricco San Giovanni farmhouse enjoys a completely privileged position, between Monferrato and the Langhe, surrounded by rolling vine covered hills as far as the eye can see, the view of which alone is worth a visit. In the surrounding area you can make the most of nature by enjoying many sporting activities.  From hiking to mountain biking (please find info in the Agriturismo for bike rental and map of the trails), horse riding and golf are also available in the various local riding stables and sports clubs. Golf lovers have at their disposal the Clubs of Margara, Città d ‘Asti, Villa Carolina and Colline del Gavi, to mention only the nearest golf clubs. Horseback riding in the Monferrato hills, as well as hiking through fields of hazelnuts and vineyards offer unforgettable emotions.

Those who love art have the opportunity to visit over 100 castles from different historical periods: the cultural and gastronomical attractions of nearby Asti and the whole province of Cuneo will excite those who dream of a holiday that offers mental stimulation alongside physical relaxation. About three and a half hours from Asti are the three major cities of the north west of Italy – Milan, Turin and Genoa – whose attractions are truly enticing and varied.

But even without moving from the valley, guests of Bricco San Giovanni can get involved in one of the wonderful wine tastings and guided tours of our “Moretti Adimari” cellar, and be accompanied on a journey of scents, aromas and secrets of our artisan wines which have been several times awarded at national level and flagship of the whole territory. Finally, those who want to steal the secrets of the Piedmont gastronomic tradition can participate in our cooking classes, where you can learn some of the delicious recipes based on local products that are the pride of the Bricco San Giovanni restaurant.
